I bought 2 of these timers. I have to say that they are awesome. They come with 2 plugins, like 15 or so different programable modes (depending on what days you want to run). Just make sure that you pull the little directions out and give them a quick read. They tell you exactly what you need to do to program your new timer, It was super easy. They have a internal battery inside, that is the only down fall, but with no lights just the plain screen the battery's should last a long time. Im sure that the timers themselves will last a super long time.

this timer was for us to turn on a large 4-bulb grow light for our patio plants that we bring in for the winter from our patio. In the past, we had a manual dial and anytime it was touched slightly it would turn and mess up the time which got annoying.

this light was easy to program -- patience required to read the instruction and follow them. It has a battery installed so i was able to program it without plugging it in. Since we keep the plants in our bedroom (we love them so much) we wanted the lights to turn on later on the weekends than weekday, so programming multiple on/off times was great. They have a M-F setting and a SAT/SUN setting so i only had to do 2 programs instead of 7 which I was worried about. It also has an easy way to change it for daylight savings.

TIP: if you program it during daylight savings, you'll want to set it for the "real" time (1 hour earlier) and then press the daylight savings button combo (press 2 buttons simultaneously) to adjust it to the real time. In a month, when i take off daylight savings setting, it will automatically fall back an hour. This was the ONE confusing thing having to realize i needed to set the time actually an hour behind the real time and then activate daylight savings to get the real time, but now I know it is all set. I wish the instructions had mentioned this.

Reviews I read on other timers talked about being really hard to program, which i why i got this one and I am very happy. ALSO, it has TWO outlets on it so it doubles as a multiplug if you have more than one item to plug into it and it is 3-PRONG which many are not.

I just got it today, so I actually don't know if it will turn the lights on in the morning, but I'll update if there are any problems. No update = no problems.

I use this on my fish aquarium and it is the best i could find. dual outlets are nice. wish you could control each separately. i picked this because it is digital and has a built in RECHARGEABLE battery. It'll stay program despite power outages. Never thought I could like a wall outlet so much.
