The drive came packaged well, exactly as described. It self-installed quickly on Windows 7, and has functioned exactly as expected. I've only had it a few months, but no speed issues, fails, or clicks yet. Everything seems tip-top.

This thing is fast has plenty of capacity for my needs and is great. I have one note for those using it with apple OS I recommend not changing it to an MSDOS format but to I can't find it off the top of my head and I am not a computer expert but I think it is called something like extended journal. When I redid my OS recently to snow leopard, he had me reformat it so it can be used as my time machine external hard drive, however the MSDOS formatting suggested in the main review works.

I highly recommend this unit for those who are interested in an external hard drive to store data, pic, videos, etc. Have several external hard drives and of them this is be best. The 1TB memory is fantastic!!!
