Chair sit is 6 inches and table is 12 inches high. Chair sit is very narrow. My son is 18 months old, normal height and it is too short for him even now. When he sits on the chair, his knees are higher than his bottom.
It is nicely made, but I will have to buy another table and chair pretty soon. If it is too short for 1.5 years old, it is definitely too short for the recommended 2-3 year old.

I recently ordered this table and chair set for my 19 month old. Initially, I was skeptical about its size, thinking it might be too small and restrictive. Once it arrived, I realized that it is a perfect size for eating, coloring, etc. The belly cut-out is pretty smart, since it allows my son to scoot up close to his food, minimizing spills and crumbs. The style looks really nice, too, especially if you have modern type-furniture in the same room. I have had multiple compliments on it, and I am secretly thrilled that I didn't spend over $150 for the whole thing (plus I ordered an extra chair).
